Lawrence then worked for Packaging Corporation of America for 20 years until his retirement. In his retirement, he helped his wife run Duffy’s Bar in Colby for 15 months. Lawrence then became a manager for the Welcome Inn Motel in Medford for a period of time. He enjoyed tinkering in the garage and doing his chin-ups. He loved baseball and boxing. As a young man, Lawrence was known as the Strong Man of Abbotsford.

Jim enjoyed traveling the United States and other countries. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

EDUCATION: Silvia received a Teaching Diploma and a 4 year Certificate in Missions from Western Canadian Bible Institute in 1952

MARRIAGE: November 11, 1967 at the Baptist Church in Ogema to Ernest H. Streckert. He preceded her in death on September 4, 1986

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: Silvia was raised on a farm in Chamberry, Saskatchewan, Canada. She later lived in Victoria, British Columbia. Besides attending Bible college, she had worked at the Treasury Office of the Canadian Department of National Health and Welfare. Silvia emigrated to the U.S. in 1955 to serve in the office of Youth Gospel Crusade located in Wheaton, IL. In 1958, Silvia moved with the ministry to what is now Camp Forest Springs/Forest Springs Camp and Conference Center at Ogema. Silvia served with the ministry in several capacities until 1968. After her marriage in 1967, Silvia helped her husband with his machinery building businesses, first E & S Manufacturing, Inc. of Medford, and then ESCO of Rib Lake, until his death in 1986. She was an active member of Woodland Community Church and enjoyed supporting various missionaries. She volunteered her time at Camp Forest Springs from 1968 until her last years. She was a willing servant of the Lord and a good friend to many. She will be missed.

SURVIVING STEP-CHILDREN: Tom (Sondra) Streckert of Colby, David Streckert of Abbotsford, and Jerrold Streckert of Reading, Mass.
Step-nephew: Lonnie Streckert of Madison
Silvia is further survived by nieces and nephews, on the Moolin side of the family, in Canada and Western United States.

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After his education Al farmed in Medford for a period of time. He then worked road construction in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Montana. After his retirement, Al spent his winters in Alamo, Texas and his summers at Bone Lake, Wisconsin for the past 18 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and dancing.
