PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After her education, she worked in Milwaukee for a period of time as a nanny. After her marriage, they farmed in the town of Molitor for 40 years until selling the cows in 1978. She also did miscellaneous housekeeping jobs in the Medford area. In 2000 she moved to the city of Medford. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, trips to the casino, and her grandchildren.

After her marriage, they farmed in the township of Medford until the death of her husband in 1969. She then moved to the city of Medford. She enjoyed sewing, farming, making clothes, quilting, writing letters, reading and cooking.

EDUCATION: Hartford City, IN elementary schools, graduate of Hartford City, IN high school. She attended Ball State Teachers’ College in Muncie, IN. Later in life she continued her education at various colleges in Michigan.

MARRIAGE INFORMATION: July 31, 1936 at Hartford City, Indiana to Robert Crist and he preceded her in death in 1985

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: She was a teacher in Michigan and also Amsterdam, NY until her retirement in 1978. After retirement she and her husband moved back to Indiana, where she resided until his death in 1985. At age 90, she moved to Green Valley, AZ and lived close to her sister until moving to Medford in 2006 where she resided at Country Gardens. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, friends & family. She was involved in activities in the Episcopal Church until later years.

He enjoyed 4-wheeling, fishing, hunting, flea markets, garage sales & collecting miniature tractors.

In 1946, they moved to the Town of Holway where she and her husband farmed until retiring in 1973. Amelia enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening, canning, baking, especially molasses cookies and cream puffs. She enjoyed singing and playing BINGO.
