JACK A. BOARDMAN



Jack A. Boardman, 56, of the Township of Harding, Lincoln County, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at his residence.

Jack was born on November 1, 1963 to Everette and Mary (Yotter) Boardman in Ladysmith. He worked for many years in manufacturing. He moved to the Township of Harding in July of 2019.

In his spare time Jack enjoyed bow hunting, gardening, fishing, exploring on his four-wheeler, and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Jack is survived by his mother, Mary of Merrill; siblings, Kris (Victor Mueller) Pogodzinski, Kimberly Turner, and Lisa (Jim) Downing all of Medford, Annette Wild of Rib Lake, Ginny Boardman of Merrill, Jay (Laura) Boardman of Ocala, FL, and Jerry Turner of Medford. Jack is further survived by 10 nephews, 7 nieces, 6 great-nephews, 9 great-nieces, and best friend Wayne Kautzer of Medford

Jack is preceded in death by his father, Everette.

A memorial service for Jack will take place 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Hemer Funeral Home – Medford Chapel, with pastor Rodger Prois officiating. Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Hemer Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.

LORNA L. CHIPMAN

Lorna L. Chipman, 76, a Medford resident, died on Saturday, December 14 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital where she had been a patient for the past 4 days.

A celebration of life visitation for Lorna will take place from 3 – 8 PM on Saturday, December 21 at Black River Golf Course, Medford. A memorial service will be held sometime in the spring of 2020.

Lorna was born on April 8, 1943 in Medford, the daughter of Lorin A. and Leona A. (Dassow) Albrecht. She attended Gad Elementary School and was a 1961 graduate of Medford High School. She also attended nursing school in Milwaukee and received a bachelor’s degree from Cardinal Stritch College in Milwaukee. In 1965, she married Wayne Chipman at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Medford and they were later divorced.

After her education, she worked as a nurse at Northwest General Hospital in Milwaukee and later worked as the director of nursing there until 1985. She worked as a hospital administrator in Gallup, New Mexico and Ludington, MI until retiring in 2011. In 2012, she moved to Medford to be near her family. She enjoyed scrap booking, card making, playing cribbage, Willie Nelson music & doing area volunteer work.

Survivors include her children, Tracy (Pat Beilfuss) Chipman of Menomonie, WI and Craig Chipman of Medford. Also surviving are her siblings, Gary (Georgine) Albrecht & Larry (Jane) Albrecht both of Medford, Bruce (Diane) Albrecht of Gad and George (Donna) Albrecht of Niceville, FL.

WILLIAM R. DOBERSTEIN, SR.

William R. Doberstein, Sr., 81, of Ogema, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Deerview Meadows under the care of Hope Hospice.

William was born on December 27, 1937 to Randolph and Dagmar (Olsen) Doberstein in Medford. He attended Holway schools and Medford High School. After school he enlisted in the Marines and served at Camp Pendleton. He married Marie A. Ross on October 1, 1960, together they raised 5 children, and she preceded William in death on January 6, 1995. He later married Lucille M. Williams on February 20, 1998, she survives.

William worked in the Milwaukee area GM Automotive. He then went to work road construction throughout Wisconsin. He later worked for Weather Shield until his retirement.

In his spare time William enjoyed hunting, mowing lawn, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his wife, William is survived by his 5 children, Dawn Lungstrom, Natalie Nowak of Stevens Point, Bill (Susie) Doberstein, Jr., John (Heidi) Doberstein, and Roxann Neubauer all of Medford; 1 step-child Tracey Rohde of Ogema; 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild with another on the way, 4 step grandsons, and 1 sister, Mary (Ronny) Miller of Unity.

William is preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Marie.

A private family graveside service will take place at a later date.

Memorial donations in William’s name may be given to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care.

GEORGE E. DANIELS


George E. Daniels, 85, of Medford passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Rib Lake Health Services surrounded by family, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

George was born on August 20, 1934 to George and Margaret Daniels in Batavia, NY. George was a US Army veteran. He dedicated his life to Law Enforcement, most notably as a sergeant for the Wisconsin State Patrol. He married Nancy Rodefer on July 26, 1958, she survives.

In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Stetsonville American Legion #519, and the Knights of Columbus.

In addition to his wife, George is survived by his children, Gwenn (Ted) Beaver of Mountain Home AR, Bill (Suzy) Daniels of Park Falls, Bruce (Angela) Daniels and Ray (Ashlie) Daniels, both of Medford; 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and brother, Ray Daniels of Mauston. He is further survived by many other friends and family.

George is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Margaret Griffin and Goldie Cooley.

A Funeral Mass for George will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with Father Patrick McConnell officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation for George will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM, with military honors being performed by Stetsonville American Legion Post #519.

EMMERSYN G. KOZEY



 Emmersyn G. Kozey, age 8, Town of Hammel resident, passed away on December 7, 2019 at Marshfield Medical Center, where she had been a patient for the past month. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Emmersyn was born on April 4, 2011 to Kelly and Megan (Gebert) Kozey in Medford. She attended Holy Rosary Catholic School until this year, when she attended Medford Area Elementary School. Emmersyn was full of life and joy and touched everyone she came in contact with.

Left to cherish in Emmersyn’s memory are her parents - Kelly and Megan Kozey, Town of Hammel, siblings - Bryce Anderson, Isaac Anderson, and Kendall Kozey all of the Town of Hammel. Paternal Grandparents - Keith and Tina Kozey of Medford; Maternal Grandparents - Marty and Kelly Gebert of Stetsonville; Paternal Great-Grandmother - Clarice Heier, of Medford; Maternal Great-Grandparents - James Metz of Stetsonville, Nancy Metz of Stetsonville, and Melvin Gebert of Medford; numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford Chapel with a 7:00 prayer service. Visitation will continue at Holy Rosary Catholic Church from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at 11:00 A.M.
