George E. Daniels, 85, of Medford passed away on Thursday,
December 12, 2019 at Rib Lake Health Services surrounded by family, under the
care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
George was born on August 20, 1934 to George and Margaret
Daniels in Batavia, NY. George was a US Army veteran. He dedicated his life to Law Enforcement, most notably as a sergeant for the Wisconsin State Patrol. He
married Nancy Rodefer on July 26, 1958, she survives.
In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending
time with his family. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Stetsonville
American Legion #519, and the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his wife, George is survived by his children,
Gwenn (Ted) Beaver of Mountain Home AR, Bill (Suzy) Daniels of Park Falls,
Bruce (Angela) Daniels and Ray (Ashlie) Daniels, both of Medford; 9
grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and brother, Ray Daniels of Mauston. He
is further survived by many other friends and family.
George is preceded in death by his parents and sisters,
Margaret Griffin and Goldie Cooley.
A Funeral Mass for George will take place on Tuesday, December
17, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with Father Patrick McConnell officiating.
Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation for George will
take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the time of
service at 11:00 AM, with military honors being performed by Stetsonville
American Legion Post #519.
