EDUCATION: She attended Little White School and Medford High School. Anna graduated as Valedictorian of her high school class, and then trained as an elementary school teacher at Taylor County Normal School. When teacher licensing changed, she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 1959 from UW-Stevens Point. Later, she received her Pre-K-12th grade cognitive disability certification from UW-Eau Claire and held a life license in this area for the remainder of her career.
MARRIAGE INFORMATION: July 24, 1951 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford to Melvin N. Schumacher and he preceded her in death.
PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: She was an elementary school teacher at Lublin, Marshfield, Abbotsford and Medford Area Schools for 47 years. She was twice recognized for her work as a retired teacher in the Stetsonville Title I reading program as Medford Area Schools Volunteer of the Year. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, traveling, cooking, reading and going to dances. She was very active and involved in her churches, holding many leadership positions.

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: He owned and operated Riemer Builders in Stetsonville for 41 years until retirement in 2007. He was a firefighter with the Stetsonville Volunteer Fire Dept. for 40 years having served 17 of those years as the assistant Fire Chief. He served on the Stetsonville Village Board for 36 years. He enjoyed playing softball, horseshoes, baseball, their Chequamegon hunting shack, and most of all spending time with his family. He was an avid bowler and was known as “Marvelous Marv”.
