PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After their marriage, they moved near the family farm and Betty was a loving housewife, mother and assisted her sisters-in-law on the farm. In 1960 they moved to Appleton, where they owned and operated the Dreamland Motel, where Betty also helped Vernon with his milk route. They then moved back to Stetsonville in 1963 where she helped Vernon clean at the Dorchester Memorial Hall. She then joined the kitchen crew at the Dorchester Memorial Hall, Dorchester and later the kitchen staff at the Stetsonville Centennial Hall, Stetsonville. She worked in the kitchen for 35+ years until her retirement in 2006. Betty enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, canning, crocheting, crossword puzzles and crafts.
