After retirement, Nancy and Paul moved to their home on Lake Holcombe. Nancy’s boundless love for her family encompassed her life. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter. She very much enjoyed visiting with friends, other family members and neighbors as well. Nancy was an avid reader, and put priority on keeping up to date on current events and local community news. During retirement, she took pleasure in working in her yard on landscaping and her flower gardens. She’s left many great memories for those who knew her, including the hostas and lilies from her gardens, which she shared with others. Throughout her years, Nancy also enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events, cooking for her family and hosting gatherings.

HERBERT 'HERB" C. NUERNBERGER
Herbert “Herb” C. Nuernberger, age 88 of Medford died on Saturday, June 7 at the Aspirus Care and Rehab Center, Medford where he had resided for the past 1 ½ years.
He was born July 22, 1925 in the Township of Little Black to the late Rudolph and Emelia (Diedrich) Nuernberger. He attended the Little White School in the Township of Little Black and was a 1943 graduate of Medford High School.
On December 18, 1946 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Holway he married Lorraine A. Olson. Herb worked at the Medford Cooperative Creamery and then at the Memorial Hospital for 20 years where he retired at the age of 62. He enjoyed traveling, woodworking, crafts and spending time with his family. Herb enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Medford.
Herbert is survived by his loving wife Lorraine A. Nuernberger of Medford, 3 Sons: Dennis, Bruce (Sue) and Lee (Jean) Nuernberger all of Medford and 4 Daughters: Kay (Barry) Steevens of Columbia, Missouri, Janet (John) Kushlan of Franklin, Vicki Leonard of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Joan Kristan of Madison. He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. Sister: Judith (William) Sunderlin of Fargo, North Dakota and 2 Sisters-In-Law: Evelyn Ried of New Berlin and Mildred Olson of Abbotsford.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, 3 Brothers: Elmer, Rynold and John Nuernberger and 3 Sisters: Louise Berry, Erna Geiger and Kathryn Russel.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 12 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Medford with Pastor Nancy Amacher and Pastor Kelly Taylor-Schaus officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. Thursday, June 12 at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made in Herb's name to the St. Paul's Building Fund. He was born July 22, 1925 in the Township of Little Black to the late Rudolph and Emelia (Diedrich) Nuernberger. He attended the Little White School in the Township of Little Black and was a 1943 graduate of Medford High School.
On December 18, 1946 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Holway he married Lorraine A. Olson. Herb worked at the Medford Cooperative Creamery and then at the Memorial Hospital for 20 years where he retired at the age of 62. He enjoyed traveling, woodworking, crafts and spending time with his family. Herb enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Medford.
Herbert is survived by his loving wife Lorraine A. Nuernberger of Medford, 3 Sons: Dennis, Bruce (Sue) and Lee (Jean) Nuernberger all of Medford and 4 Daughters: Kay (Barry) Steevens of Columbia, Missouri, Janet (John) Kushlan of Franklin, Vicki Leonard of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Joan Kristan of Madison. He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. Sister: Judith (William) Sunderlin of Fargo, North Dakota and 2 Sisters-In-Law: Evelyn Ried of New Berlin and Mildred Olson of Abbotsford.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, 3 Brothers: Elmer, Rynold and John Nuernberger and 3 Sisters: Louise Berry, Erna Geiger and Kathryn Russel.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 12 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Medford with Pastor Nancy Amacher and Pastor Kelly Taylor-Schaus officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. Thursday, June 12 at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made in Herb's name to the St. Paul's Building Fund.
