She enjoyed taking trips with the Homemakers Tour Group and her husband and grandchildren. Minnie also taught leatherwork in the 4-H. She also enjoyed gardening.

ALBERT H. MEIER
Albert Harrold Meier, age 81, was called to his heavenly rest on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at his home in Spirit, WI. Albert was born December 19, 1933, in a log cabin in the Town of Spirit to Carl and Olga (nee-Harrold) Meier.
Albert attended grade school at Liberty School in the Town of Spirit and graduated from Rib Lake High School in 1951. In 1955 he enlisted in the US Army. He served three years, learning Russian and translating intercepted Russians messages while attached to the National Security Agency (NSA) in Fort Meade, MD.
After his service, Albert farmed with his father. In 1977 he married Carol Schultz of Athens, WI, continuing to farm until 1995. Albert was a dairy farmer who took pride in his herd of Guernseys. As a young man he trapped furs and he logged throughout his life. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Albert was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church, Spirit where he regularly worshipped his Lord and served in various capacities. Through the years he served on the boards of DHI, Badger Breeders and Morning Glory as well as serving as president of the Spirit 4H Fair Committee for 25 years. He was also a volunteer fire warden for many years.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents and his infant sister Rosalie. He is survived by his wife, his two children, Dorothy (Cody) Grivno of Slinger, WI and Albert Meier II of Jackson, MI, two grandchildren, one sister, three brothers and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Spirit. Visitation will be held at 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday, March 13, 2015 at Hemer Funeral Home in Rib Lake and also from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Spirit with Rev. James Heffner officiating.
Burial will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery in the Town of Spirit.

MARRIAGE: Gertrude Martha(Graumann) Lemke on June 23, 1948 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Rib Lake, WI. She preceded him in death in 2004.
PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: Rudolph truly was a jack of all trades. Soon after marrying Gertrude, he owned a sawmill in Holcombe, WI for a period of time, then moved to Goodrich and began farming. While farming in Goodrich he also ran a small saw mill, and went from farm to farm custom chopping. He helped construct the gas pipeline that ran from Ladysmith to Rib Lake, WI. He also helped build St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Goodrich in 1962. He then started logging, and logged until the age of 87. His favorite time of year was deer season. He enjoyed going dancing with his wife and playing “Sheepshead” with his friends on Friday night. He also enjoyed taking his children fishing as they were growing up. Very rarely did he ever hire someone in to fix something for him, he did all of his projects on his own, including remodeling his home. Rudolph’s faith was extremely important to him, and never missed a Sunday in church.
MEMBER OF: Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church for over 30 years, President of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Goodrich until 1973, and was a member of the Washington School Board.

Shirley enjoyed traveling, especially to the Western States. She was an avid collector of “BEARS”. A bear named “Teddy” was her constant companion.

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: Paul and Delores farmed for a short time in the town of Hammel, WI. After her husband’s death, she moved to Medford and worked at Marathon Cheese on the production line for 20 years. She loved to go on walks, complete puzzles and crossword puzzles, bird watch, and enjoy nature. She loved spending time with the ones who meant most to her; her grandchildren.
