PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: At the age of 12 Jack moved from Cicero, IL with his family to the Stetsonville, WI and later moved to Medford. During High School Jack participated in Golden Glove Boxing in Marshfield and Milwaukee and after graduating from Medford High School he signed with the Philadelphia Phillies and the Kansas City Royals as a Minor League Shortstop. In 1958 he began working at Adolph’s Barber Shop in Colby and then in 1960 he began working at Wally’s Barber Shop in Medford until his retirement in 2007. Jack was a lifelong fan of bowling, golfing, baseball and football. He refereed many basketball games throughout Northern Wisconsin. Jack was a fun loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed life to the fullest.

From 1967 until retirement in 1997 he owned & operated Ralph’s Carpet Service. They also operated a turkey farm in the township of Deer Creek for a period of time. He took care of the Legion ballpark beer stand in Stetsonville for 10 years, and the Centennial Community Center, Stetsonville storage unit from 1998 to the present time. He enjoyed making firewood and watching the birds.

After there marriage, she and her husband farmed in the Town of Browning for many years. She also babysat for a period of time. Josephine was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and canning. She enjoyed listening to polka music, playing BINGO, 500 Rummy and trips to the casino. Josephine also enjoyed taking rides in the country, traveling and visiting family and friends.

Then her family moved to the Westboro area where she worked as a maid at Fayette Motel in Medford for about 1 year. Her family then moved to the Edgar area where she worked at the Edgar Basket Factory where she made laundry baskets by hand until August of 1947 when she and Pep then moved to Chicago. Frances then worked at Spiegel’s Catalog Company at nights processing orders for 1 ½ years. She then sold Tupperware at home parties until they moved to the Medford area in 1960. Frances then sold Avon for 3 ½ years. Then in July 1962 she became one of the four founding members of Tombstone Pizza of Medford. Frances was the manager of the production area until the business was sold and upon her retirement in 1986. After her retirement Frances began her Philanthropic Services with donations to the Medford Public Library, the Medford Fire Department, Holy Rosary School and helped numerous, numerous individuals in the community. She was an avid golfer and bowler. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, needlework, baking, cooking and interior design.

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After school she worked at a WWII Defense Factory in Chicago where she assembled walkie talkies for 3 years. Then her family moved to the Westboro area where she worked as a maid at Fayette Motel in Medford for about 1 year. Her family then moved to the Edgar area where she worked at the Edgar Basket Factory where she made laundry baskets by hand until August of 1947 when she and Pep then moved to Chicago. Frances then worked at Spiegel’s Catalog Company at nights processing orders for 1 ½ years. She then sold Tupperware at home parties until they moved to the Medford area in 1960. Frances then sold Avon for 3 ½ years. Then in July 1962 she became one of the four founding members of Tombstone Pizza of Medford. Frances was the manager of the production area until the business was sold and upon her retirement in 1986. After her retirement Frances began her Philanthropic Services with donations to the Medford Public Library, the Medford Fire Department, Holy Rosary School and helped numerous, numerous individuals in the community. She was an avid golfer and bowler. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, needlework, baking, cooking and interior design.

He then worked at Handel Motors in Stetsonville as a mechanic for a period of time. In 1962 Ed and Lorraine owned and operated Ed’s Standard in Stetsonville, now known as Ed’s service and Auto Body. Ed and Lorraine also owned and operated school buses for Stetsonville and then the Medford Area School District from 1960-1973. He ran Stock Cars in his younger years and enjoyed watching baseball.
MEMBER OF: Lifetime Member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville and the Disabled American Veteran. He was also a Charter Member of the Boxrucker-Berry American Legion Post #519, Stetsonville for the past 65 years, the Klossner-Dietzler VFW #5729, Medford and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

MARRIAGE INFORMATION: June 10, 1955 in Overland, Missouri to Lorraine C. Apfelbeck and she preceded him in death on February 2, 1994
PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After school Ed worked at Mundt Car Dealership in Stetsonville and entered the U.S. Army where he was stationed in the Lucien Islands during WWII. After his time in the service Ed came back and worked at Mundt Car Dealership in Stetsonville as a mechanic for 25 years. He then worked at Handel Motors in Stetsonville as a mechanic for a period of time. In 1962 Ed and Lorraine owned and operated Ed’s Standard in Stetsonville, now known as Ed’s service and Auto Body. Ed and Lorraine also owned and operated school buses for Stetsonville and then the Medford Area School District from 1960-1973. He ran Stock Cars in his younger years and enjoyed watching baseball.
MEMBER OF: Lifetime Member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville and the Disabled American Veteran. He was also a Charter Member of the Boxrucker-Berry American Legion Post #519, Stetsonville for the past 65 years, the Klossner-Dietzler VFW #5729, Medford and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Son: Edward “Butch” Rindt of Stetsonville
# OF GRANDCHILDREN: 2 Grandchildren: Courtney and Kyle Von Loh of Medford
SURVIVING BROTHERS/SISTERS: Sister: Frances Bach of Medford

DECEASED BROTHERS/SISTERS: Sister Ann in infancy, Lawrence, Alois, Joseph and Elizabeth
