EDUCATION: He was a 1943 graduate of Pelican Rapids High School. Ed attended Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he did his general studies. Ed then attended Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he graduated in 1959. He also attended Association Free Lutheran Seminary in Plymouth, Minnesota, where he graduated in 1967
MARRIAGE INFORMATION: March 23, 1955 to Yvonne L. Score at Hay River Lutheran Church in Wheeler, Wisconsin and she survives.
PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: Ed was a minister at the Association Free Lutheran Congregation in Roseau, Minnesota where there were 4 parishes for 3 years. He then was a minister at Bethel Free Lutheran in Faith, South Dakota and Emmanuel Free Lutheran in Eagle Butte in South Dakota for 8 ½ years. Ed was also a minister in Culbertson, Montana at Bethel Free Lutheran for 5 years. He then worked at Broen Nursing Home in Fergus Falls, Minnesota where he was a Certified Nursing Assistant for 6 years. He served as an interim pastor for various congregations. Ed also did Highway, Railroad and Carpentry Construction. He was a helper on the building of Garrison Dam in Garrison, North Dakota. Ed also worked for various farmers in the Pelican Rapids, Minnesota area. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed building blue bird houses, taking pictures, reading and telling stories.
