DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: November 21, 1957 in Marshfield, WI
EDUCATION: Attended Gad, Fairfield and Clearview Elementary Schools. Graduate of Medford High School
PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After High School Richard worked at Weathershield in Medford as an assembler for about 4-5 years. He then owned and operated his own truck through Dart Transportation out of Minneapolis where he was a long haul truck driver until he joined the U.S. Navy in 1986. He was stationed on the largest aircraft carrier the U.S.S. Carl Vinson. Richard also served in the Gulf War being stationed at China Lake, California as a part of the support group for the jet airplanes. He was honorably discharged on July 20, 1990 and reenlisted on July 21, 1990 and then honorably discharged on June 30, 1994. Richard reached rank of Aviation Fire Control Technician Petty Officer Second Class. While in the service he received many medals such as the Good Conduct Award on July 21, 1990. After his time in the military Richard worked as a truck driver for various companies in the area for a number of years. He then started employment at Tombstone Pizza in Medford where he operated a forklift and most recently in the office on the loading dock until the time of his death. He enjoyed Truck Pulling with his brothers. Richard also enjoyed water skiing, camping, hunting, antique cars and the Packers.
MEMBER OF: Klossner-Dietzler VFW Post #5729 Medford, Lifetime Member of the National Rifle Association, Moonlight Snow-Kats Snowmobile Club where he served as past president and the Stump-Jumpers Snowmobile Club
SURVIVING BROTHERS/SISTERS: Ann (Allen) McNamar, Mike (Linda) Kloth and Jim (Janine) Kloth all of Medford
Also survived by Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives and Many, Many Friends
SURVIVING PARENTS: Father: Alvin M. Kloth Mother: Rose “Rosie” M. Kloth Maiden Name is Tom of Medford
PALLBEARERS: Bruce Ross, Carl Ziehlke, Galen Raasch, Russ, Duane and Jerry Dassow, Mark Hrdina and Glen Steen
