All during this time Geneva worked alongside her husband and owned and operated a small dairy farm. Geneva enjoyed reading, gardening and raising flowers. She pitched for the girls and boys high school baseball league while at Hannibal High School. Geneva pitched fast pitch softball for the Women’s Softball League in Ogema until the age of 53 years. She was also Ogema Centennial Queen in 1976.
