They farmed in the Town of Holway and did area real estate work for periods of time. In retirement he delivered parts for Northwest Trucks. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, drawing, fishing, hunting, traveling, social talking, making chili & spending time with his family.

His love for music was apparent, as he sang with church choirs and the Central Chamber Chorale for over 25 years.

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: Joan worked at Passehl’s Drug Store for a number of years. She then worked at the Medford Co-op in hardware for a number of years. Joan enjoyed spending time at her lake home on North Twin Lake. In her younger years, she liked snowmobile riding. She loved baking cookies at Christmas time, flowers and spending time with her family.
