EDUCATION: Medford Area Schools; Graduate of UW Stevens Point in 1976 with a Bachelor Degree in Education & receiving a certificate of scholastic achievement
MARRIAGE: June 19, 1945 at Drew Field, FL to Cyril J. Jochimsen and he preceded her in death October 30, 1986
PRINCIPLE EVENTS IN LIFE: Marie’s greatest joy was being a wife, mother and grandmother along with wearing shades of purple. After normal school graduation in 1944, she taught at various rural schools in the Medford area. After marriage, they began farming in the Town of Goodrich, later moved to Dorchester establishing Idle-A-Wile dairy farm in 1955. After retirement from farming in 1980, Marie & Cyril moved to the Town of Molitor. After Cyril’s passing, Marie opened/operated the 80 Acres Green house for several years with two of her sons. She served as Town of Molitor treasurer for a period of time. She moved to the City of Medford in 2009. Marie loved her family, flower gardens, reading, music, traveling and doing Su Do Ku puzzles. Marie passed her love of flowers and reading to her children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
