PRINCIPLE EVENTS IN LIFE: Hilda grew up on the family farm in the Town of Hammel for 15 years and then moved to another farm in the Town of Molitor where she worked as janitor of the Pine Tree School for 10 years. She then met the love of her life, Bernard Dums. They operated a dairy farm in the Town of Greenwood and raised Christmas trees in the Rib Lake area for a period of years. She loved gardening, cooking, making wreaths, polka music and just staying at home with her family.
