Jerry P. Doyle, 76, of Medford, passed away Saturday April 14, 2018 at Aspirus Hospital in Medford.
He was born June 15, 1941 in Medford to Conan and Marie (Beyer) Doyle. He is a 1959 graduate of Medford Sr. High. Jerry married Sandra P. McGuire on February 22, 1969 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Medford. Sandra survives.
Jerry is further survived by his children: Colleen (Cully) White of Pewaukee, Kathy (Kurt) Alexander of Medford, Grandchildren: McKenna, Drew, Macy, Carly, Cade, Ryan and Carmyn, Sister: Glenna (Richard) Johnson of Red Wing, MN, Sister in Law Shirley Brink of Medford, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Son in law Dan Nagy, Father and Mother in Law Harold & Evelyn McGuire, Brother in Law Ronald Brink.
Jerry served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era, and earned the rank of E-4. He graduated from the Winona School of Photography and went on to take over his fathers photography business in Medford for over 40 years, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed golfing, competitive shooting sports, tinkering and cruising Easy Street in Orange Beach, AL.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Tee Hi Golf Course, Medford Rifle Club Clays and Trap, Esadore Area Lake Association, Stetsonville American Legion, Medford VFW, and was a charter member of the Medford JC’s.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Medford. Rev. James Krueger will officiate. Military rites will be rendered. Burial will follow at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II. Visitation will be held from 4-7:00 PM at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford Chapel, Tuesday April 17, and Wednesday morning at church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Closing words will be said on Tuesday night at 7:00 PM by Jerry’s daughters.
Memorial donations in honor of Jerry can be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the Melanoma Research Foundation, 1411 K Street, NW Suite 800, Washington D.C., 20005.
