Theresia Faber, 96, of Medford, passed away Saturday October 27, 2018 at Dycora Transitional Health in Abbotsford, under the compassionate care of Hope Hospice.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday October 30, 2018 at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Goodrich. Pastor Ken Bittorf will officiate. Burial will follow at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
Theresia was born March 22, 1922 in Forst, Germany to John and Joanna (Schmuda) Rau. She married Peter Faber on February 3, 1940 in Medford. Pete preceded her in death on May 17, 2008.
She is survived by two Daughters: Jean Thurs of Athens, Virginia (Alan) Woller of Merrill, two Sons: Henry (Jackie) of Athens and Edward (Phyllis) of Medford, 8 Grandchildren, 6 Step Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, 7 Step Great Grandchildren, 9 Great Great Grandchildren, 4 Step Great Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Theresia is further preceded in death by her Parents, Son In Law Ronald Thurs, Grandson Steven Faber, Brothers: John, Henry and Joseph Rau, Sisters: Hedwig Lechmaier, Agnes Rau and Anne Utter.
Theresia will always be remembered as a hard worker. Her and her husband Peter owned and operated a own dairy farm in the Town of Goodrich. She enjoyed gardening, canning, hunting, crochet, needlework, sewing, traveling and riding snowmobile. She especially enjoyed time spent at the cabin her and Peter built on Lake Minocqua.
She was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church where she served in the Ladies Aid, Farmers Union, Holstein Breeders Assn. and the Farmers Union Co-Op.
Memorial donations in honor of Theresia can be given to St. Andrews Lutheran Church or Hope Hospice and Palliative Care.
