Angela B. Hutchinson, 93, of Medford died on Wednesday, March 11 at her residence in the City of Medford most recently under the care of Hope Hospice.
Angela was born on May 21, 1926 at Marinette, WI, the daughter of Clarence and Bertha (Ahrens) Hjelte. She attended elementary school in Oshkosh and was a graduate of Farragut High School in Chicago, IL. Her marriage to Donald G. Hutchinson took place on June 26, 1948 at Chicago, IL and he preceded her in death on November 23, 1999.
Prior to her marriage, she worked as a librarian in Chicago. After their marriage, she worked as a housewife & mother. In 1949 they moved to the Township of Browning and in 1955 moved to the City of Medford. She enjoyed traveling, reading, oil painting, quilting, knitting, music and was very devoted to her religion. She was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Medford and its Ladies of Immanuel. At one time she served as president of the Medford Homemakers Club.
Survivors include her children, David Hutchinson of Hemet, CA, Camille (Stephen) Bovee of Edgerton, Jonathan (Audrey) Hutchinson of Forest Lake, MN and Rebecca Jacobsen of Medford. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law, Paul Jacobsen in 2009 and a sister, Carol Kohoutek.
Memorial services for Angela will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 8 at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Medford with Rev. Danial Iwinski officiating. Burial of her cremated remains will take place at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II. Visitation will be at the church from 12 noon until the time of services at 1 PM on Saturday.
