Emma was born on May 8, 1934 to Arthur and Alice (Moore) Anderson in Stetsonville. She was a graduate of Medford High School. She married Norman Jorgensen on December 15, 1951; he preceded her in death in 2004.
Emma was a homemaker on the family in farm. She was a member of the Women’s American Legion Auxiliary in Thorp. In her spare time she enjoyed crafts, sewing, reading, crossword puzzles, and gardening.
Emma is survived by her children, Stanley (Pat) Jorgensen of Medford, Joey (Karen) Jorgensen of Helena, Montana, Laurie Rohland of Withee, Lief Jorgensen of Withee, Michael (Tish) Jorgensen of Medford, Wendy Gleason of Medford, and Daniel (Barb) Jorgensen of New Baden, Illinois; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother, Eugene Anderson and sister, Patricia (Lloyd) Amacher and many other family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Emma is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lerin and sister-in-law Mae Anderson.
A Funeral Service for Emma will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Hemer Funeral Home – Medford Chapel, with Pastor David Clements officiating. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will take place at Hemer Funeral Home on Monday, June 15 2020 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
