James “Jim” L. Faber, 80, Town of Bern, passed away on
Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Jim was born on December 23, 1939 in Goodrich to Peter and Leone (Marschner) Faber. He married Donna Gallistel on January 31, 1962. They were married for 58 years.
Jim enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, old western movies and spending time with his family. He was very proud to be the youngest of ten siblings. He was a driver for Leffel trucking for many years. He has left his family and friends with many wonderful memories.
Survivors include his loving wife, Donna; his daughter, Norma (Tracy) Sossaman of Dorchester; Granddaughters, Kate (Arik) Tischendorf of Wausau and Rachel (Matthew) Obrock of Columbia City, IN and Great Granddaughter Obrock to be born in November of 2020. Jim is further survived his brother-in-law, Lyle Dahl, and sister in-laws, Jacqueline and Rose Faber, many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, Peter (Theresia), Norbert (Myrtle), Everett (Marie), Harley, Gene (Betty), Willard, Robert (Estelle) and two sisters, Bernita Dahl and Carol (Elmer) Riemann.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2020 at St. Andrews Cemetery in Goodrich with Rev. Kenneth Bittorf officiating. Social distancing will be observed and face masks will be required to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to Jim’s family to be designated at a later time.
