JULIE A. ANDERSON

Julie A. Anderson, 38, of Dorchester, passed away on April 29, 2021.

Funeral services for Julie will take place at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 7, 2021 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, with Pastor Rodger Prois officiating. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 6 at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford, from 4:00 PM until the time of a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 10:30 AM.

Julie was born on February 26, 1983 to William and Dawn (Nelson) Gumz in Dorchester. She grew up on her family’s dairy farm. She attended Dorchester Grade School and graduated from Colby High School. She worked as a caregiver at various places, most recently at The Homeplace in Dorchester for the past several years. She married Jeremy Anderson on April 1, 2017 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Medford, he survives.

Julie enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, nieces, and nephews. She also enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, volleyball, and softball.

Julie is survived by her husband, Jeremy; son, Keaten Gumz of Dorchester; step-son, Dakota Anderson of Eau Claire; mother, Dawn Gumz of Dorchester; brother, Bruce (Jolene) Gumz of Dorchester; sisters, Amy (Cory) Broeske and Beth (Kevin) Kosik, both of Dorchester; mother and father-in-law, Cheryl (Scot) Olson of Gilmanton; father-in-law, Brad Anderson of Medford, brother and sister-in-laws, Derek (Erica) Anderson of Medford and Tara (Nick Storck) Anderson of Medford, grandparents-in-law, Bill (Judy) Shotliff of Dorchester and Walter & Norma Anderson of Little Black. She is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.

Julie is preceded in death by her father, William Gumz and maternal and paternal grandparents.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the family for use a later date.
