EDUCATION: She attended elementary schools in Gary, IN and Chicago, IL, attended high schools in Ontario, Canada and Rib Lake High School where she graduated in 1958.

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After graduating high school, she moved to Michigan near her brother and an Aunt and Uncle and worked at various places including Montgomery Ward and the National Bank of Jackson. In 1972, she and her family moved back to Rib Lake where they owned/operated the Chalet Motel and she also worked at the Rib Lake bank. She later resided in Maryland, Delaware, and Arizona for periods of time. While in Delaware, she worked as an Activity Therapist at the State of Delaware's Stockley Center for adults with physical disabilities until retirement. In retirement, she was a snowbird in Arizona during the winters and lived in Wisconsin the rest of the year. Later on, she moved permanently back to Rib Lake to be near family. All throughout her life, she enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, nature, traveling, bingo and the slots, all the while enjoying good times with family and friends.

DONALD "BUD" R. WIDMER
Donald “Bud” R. Widmer, 93, of Medford, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019 at The Homeplace in Dorchester, under the care of
Interim Hospice.
Bud was born on December 24, 1925 in Milwaukee to Gottlieb
and Amanda (Ruesch) Widmer. He moved to Medford at 14 and attended Medford High
School. He then went on to serve in the Navy for 2 years. He married Ruth
Zuleger on October 16, 1948 at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Medford; she
preceded him in death on March 14, 1994.
Bud was owner/operator of Widmer & Son’s Construction until
the late 80’s. He then went on to work for Bauer Trucking for 20 years.
Bud was a council member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church. He
enjoyed wood working and crafts in his spare time.
Bud is survived by his children, Beverly (Earle) Herbert of
Owasso, OK, Richard (Heidi) Widmer of Mequon, and Barbara (Eugene) Ames of
Potosi; 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and 2 great-great-granddaughters.
He is further survived by his brother, Wayne (Betty) Widmer and many other
family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Bud is preceded in
death by his sister, Audrey Widmer and brother, Gerald Widmer.
A funeral service for Bud will take place at 11:00 AM on
Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, with Rev. Richard
Russow officiating. Burial will follow at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II.
Visitation will take place at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church on Thursday, January 31,
2019 from 9:00 AM unitl the time of service at 11:00 AM.

CAROL L. OLSON
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday January 26, 2019 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Curtiss. Pastor Ken Schmidt will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service, and burial will take place at Old Norwegian Cemetery in Curtiss at a later date.
Carol was born May 18, 1939 in Stanley, WI to Dexter and Alma (Ystad) Sheets. She is a 1957 graduate of Owen-Withee High School. She married Norman Olson on June 11, 1958 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Curtiss, WI. Norman preceded her in death June 16, 2016.
She is survived by her Children: Kristi (Dan) Ackerman of Loveland, CO, Michael Olson of Eau Claire and Nancy Dearth of Manawa, Grandchildren: Abigail (Noah) Dalton, Paul Ackerman, Sam (Jessica) Olson, Katrina (Scott) Radue, Kayla (Joshua) Suehs, Kenneth Dearth, Jr., 13 Great Grandchildren, Sisters in Law: Karen Olson of Medford and Olive Sheets of Marshfield, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is further preceded in death by her Parents, 4 Brothers and 1 sister.
Carol worked as a CNA and Housekeeping Supervisor at the Abbotsford and Colby Nursing Home. She then went on to work in the Medical Records department at Medford Memorial Hospital.
She was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, traveling with her husband, listening to music – especially Polka music, in which she and Norman would attend polka dances all over the state.

MELVA J. KLINGER
Melva J. Klinger, 85, of Medford, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at home, surrounded by family, under the care of Hope Hospice.
Melva was born on May 23, 1933 to Edward, Sr. and Edna (Frischmann)Brandner in Medford. She married Otto Klinger, Jr. on May 10, 1952 at OLPH Catholic Church in Whittlesey, he survives.
Together, Melva and Otto worked on the family farm for 42 years until retirement in 1993.
In her spare time Melva enjoyed gardening, mowing lawn, and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Melva is survived by her children, Thomas Klinger and Patricia Nelson both of Medford; grandchildren, Matthew Klinger, Kyle (Silvia) Krug, Nicholas (Carrie Dassow) Klinger, Adam (Sara) Klinger, and Kelsey (Ryan) Brost; 5 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Ruth Zuleger of Medford, Ethel Laher of Medford, Sharon (Jerry) Nowak of La Follette, TN, Delbert (June) Brandner of Medford, Edward (Rosemary) Brandner, Jr. of Tomahawk, and sister-in-law Janice Brandner of Medford. She is further survived by many other family and friends.
Melva is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Harvey and Roger Brandner.
A Funeral Mass for Melva will take place at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with Father Phil Juza officiating. Burial will follow at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II. Visitation will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 11:00 AM until the time of Mass at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers memorial donation in Melva’s name may be given to her family for use at a later designation.

Barbara was
born February 5, 1944 and lived and worked many years in Milwaukee, WI. She
worked for Kalmbach Publishing Company in Waukesha, where she was an editorial
assistant. Upon retirement she moved to Stevens Point, where she became a member
of St. Steven Catholic Church. Barbara lived in Stevens Point until November,
when she moved to Montello. In her free time, Barbara enjoyed reading, crosswords,
and puzzles.
She is
survived by her Sisters: Nancy Rogers of Brookfield, WI, Mary (Chuck) Bornhoeft
of Montello, WI, Brother: Jim Packenham of Rib Lake, WI and Sister-in-Law Mary
Packenham of Claire, IL. She is further survived by 14 nieces and nephews, numerous Great,
Great-Great nieces and nephews, and friends. She was loved and will be missed.
She is preceded
in death by her parents; Emil and Anne (Brandner) Packenham, a brother, Mark
Packenham, and one niece, Lynn Carlson.
