PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: She moved to Chicago in 1934 where she worked for a period of time. They moved to Madison in 1951 where she worked at Noll’s Cafe’, owned Betz Food Market and worked for the State of WI Dept. of Unemployment Compensation for 16 years until she retired in 1982. Her passion for growing flowers earned her the reputation as the “flower lady”. Sharing her wide variety of flowers, fruits, vegetables, and baked goods was just one trait of her generosity.
