EDUCATION: Attended Gilbertville, Iowa Area Schools

MARRIAGE INFORMATION: June 1, 1946 in Chicago to Frances E. Klecka and she survives

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After their marriage they farmed in Iowa until 1964 where they then moved to the Stetsonville Area. They dairy farmed for 66 years until his retirement in 1990. After his retirement he worked at Ed Brecke’s Mink Ranch and Hildebrandt Lawn Service for a period of time. Gil enjoyed horses, woodworking and crafting.

MEMBER OF: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville and was a Forester in the Knights of Columbus

SURVIVING SPOUSE: Frances E. Hemmer of Stetsonville

SURVIVING CHILDREN: 5 Sons: Ken (Tomi) of Medford, Ed (Jeannie) of Medford, Paul (Nancy) of Medford, Ron (Rondi) of Owen and John (Connie) Hemmer of Stetsonville

SURVIVING SISTERS: 2 Sisters: Theresa Conrad of Raymond, Iowa and Edith Youngblut of Cedar Falls, Iowa
