INTERMENT:   Hillcrest Cemetery in Spirit, where full military honors will be performed 

VISITATION:  4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 11 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Rib Lake where there will be a 7:00 P.M. Rosary Service and also from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 12 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Rib Lake

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: August 4, 1921 at Tomahawk

EDUCATION: Attended grade school in Tomahawk, moved to Spirit in 1928 where he attended Stone Lake grade school

MARRIAGE: June 22, 1946 at St John the Baptist Catholic Church to Myrtle Ruth Olson and she preceded him in death on December 28, 2009.

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After school he worked on his parent’s farm. He then moved to Arlington Heights and worked for a creamery package company for a period of time. Bob then enlisted in the U.S. Army during WWII, serving from 1942-1945. After his time in the service, he came back to Spirit where he met Myrtle on a blind date, where they were then married for 63 years. They owned and operated a dairy farm for 10 years, where he was also a logger. Bob was then employed by Magnuson Bros.  Fur Farm for 34 years, last working as an outdoor supervisor until his retirement in 1985. He enjoyed playing cards & belonged to various card clubs in the Town of Spirit. He also enjoyed hunting, gardening, traveling, camping and going to dances.
 
MEMBER OF:  Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Rib Lake; Spirit American Legion Post#452; Southern Price County V.F.W. Post# 8491; Catholic Order of Foresters; St. John’s Court#823;  Town of Spirit Clerk from 1962-1975; Chairman for the Town of Spirit from 1979-1997. Past president of the Wisconsin Township, Price County Unit.

SURVIVING CHILDREN: 2 Daughters: Patricia (John) Heiser of Rib Lake and Kathleen (Eugene) Kukla of Oconomowoc
Daughter-In-Law: Dawn Tripp of Marshfield

CHILDREN DECEASED: Son: Robert Tripp
Daughter: Kristie Degenhardt
Grandson: Scott Rabehl
Sister-In-Law: Hazel Tripp
