MARRIAGE: May 1, 1947 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford to Robert ‘Doc” J. May and he preceded her in death on June 6, 1999.
PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: Dorothy was a homemaker. She was well-known in the region for her artwork and for giving many art demonstrations within the community. Dorothy was a charter member of the Black River Art Society and the Taylor County Arts Council. Mrs. May was recognized by the Wisconsin Rural Artists Association and was awarded the John Stewart Curry Medal for her outstanding job of promoting the arts in her community. Dorothy loved music, especially jazz. She also played many musical instruments.

LIVING GRANDCHILDREN: Dr. Nathan (Dr. Lianne Pino-Etten) Etten of Miami, Florida, Erin (Rick Gutierrez) Etten of Atlanta, Georgia and Robert May of Delafield.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Georgia and Ryan Etten
SURVIVING SISTERS: Ruth Perkins of Van Nuys, California, Elizabeth Specht of Marshfield and Joann (Paul) Kleinheinz of Naples, Florida
