EDUCATION: Ladysmith Elementary and 1942 graduate of Ladysmith High School; Attended Marquette University, Milwaukee and was a graduate of Beck School of Radio
MARRIAGE: June 10, 1950 in Flambeau, WI to Ione Gourdoux and she survives
PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After his education, he served in the US Navy from 1943-1946 repairing airplanes in the Aleutian Islands during WW II. After the service, he began a career in radio at WLDY in Ladysmith. In 1955 they moved to Medford where he co-owned and worked as a general manager for WIGM Radio Station until his retirement in 1989. Following his retirement, they moved to Tony, WI where they enjoyed 13 years of fishing & woodworking until returning to Medford in 2002.
MEMBER OF: Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford; Served as president of the Medford Lions Club and Kiwanis Club of Medford. He was a Grand Knight of the Medford Knights of Columbus & active in the United Way of Taylor County.
