Robert was born April 21, 1955 to Robert and Betty (Rochester) Dassow. He married Gail L. Wegerer on September 18, 1976. Gail survives.
Robert is further survived by two sons; Jeremy (Kelly) Dassow, and Corey (Trisha) Dassow, both of Medford, four grandchildren; Ella, Willow, Eden, and Arbor, siblings; Robin (Jean) Dassow of Medford, Debbie Richert of Medford, Susan Dassow of Eau Claire, Donna (Don) Kalmon of Medford, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Son Dustin, and Brother in Law Marvin Richert.
Robert served his country in the United States Army National Guard. Following his service he then went on to work for Koch, Wisconsin Equipment, Doberstein's and then drove over the road truck for Tombstone from 1984 until his retirement in 2014. Robert enjoyed woods working, and also the outdoors especially his time spent hunting, fishing, camping and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed traveling with his family to different Motocross races throughout the state. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM, Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford Chapel, prayers will be said at 11:30 AM at the funeral home, and a Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 Noon at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Father Phil Juza and Deacon Joe Stefancin will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Robert Dassow can be given to his family for designation at a later date.
