PRINCIPLE EVENTS IN LIFE: After high school, Myra worked for the Taylor Co.
Clerk office for 10 years. When Lloyd passed in May of 1971, she stayed at home
to take care of their son Lloyd Jr. and took up sewing and alterations to
provide for her family. After ten years, she went to work for Little Black
Insurance Co. as an under writer for a period of time. Myra then worked for a
few different insurance companies in the area before working for Liberty Homes until
her retirement. In her retirement, she did record keeping and was an active
partner for her family sawmill business. Myra contributed a large amount to the
raising of her grandson Jacob while her son was working as an over the road
driver. She enjoyed quilting, taking pictures, spending time outdoors,
gardening, deer hunting, listening to country music, flowers and spending time
with her family, especially her grandson. Myra’s greatest love of country music
was the steel guitar of which she was an avid Player. She played music
