Emily was born November 2, 1926 in Rib Lake to Joseph and Frances (Borovay) Szczurek. She is a graduate of Rib Lake High School.
Emily married Leonard J. Kofler at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Rib Lake on Nov. 29, 1947. Leonard survives.
She is further survived by her children: Marie (Dale) Lindwall of Wausau, Michael (Kathy) Kofler of Prentice, Peter Kofler of Marshfield, 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Daughter Vickie Ann Wudi, and all of her Brothers and Sisters.
Emily was employed by Gem Products and worked on the
production line and Rib Lake Health Care Center where she worked in housekeeping.
She also ran the family dairy farm in Rib Lake, and enjoyed horseshoes and
polka music.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church Catholic
Order of Foresters and Christian Mothers.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM Wednesday January 18, 2017 at Good Shepherd
Catholic Church in Rib Lake. Father Otto Bucher will officiate. Mass of
Christian Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Rosary will be said
Wednesday morning at Good Shepherd Church beginning at 9:30 and visitation will follow from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11 AM.
Memorial donations in honor of Emily can be given to Good
Shepherd Catholic Church.
