PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: Joe served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953 during the Korean War. He drove truck and logged for George and Walter Haenel for a number of years. He also worked as a heavy machine operator for James Peterson & Sons Construction Company for 32 ½ years until his retirement in 1989. After his retirement, he built a sawmill, the Columbia. He was an avid reader and enjoyed hunting, fishing, logging, horse pulls, 4-wheeling and snowmobiling. Joe also enjoyed going to the Short Prong Lodge.
