Sudie L. Anderson, age 85, of Medford, WI, formerly of Williamsburg, KY, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at the Memorial Nursing and Rehab Center, Medford, Wi.
She was born Oct. 9, 1928 at Harlan, KY. She married James Albert Anderson , July 8, 1946, in Williamsburg and he preceded her in death Oct. 1, 2000.
She was a mother and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, farming, canning, and playing softball.
She was a member of the Mountain Ash Church of God.
Preceded in death by her parents, James and Amanda (Miracle) Osborne; husband, James Albert Anderson; son, Gary Anderson; brother, J.C. Osborne; sisters, Sarah Jane Holcomb, Cora Huddleston, Edna Byrd and Pauline Douglas.

She enjoyed making artificial floral arrangements for donation, curling, golfing, an avid G.B. Packer fan & fundraising.

Secretary-Treasurer for the Holway Farmers Union for 25 years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, bingo, crossword puzzles, game shows, reading, card playing & spending time with her family.

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After her education, she did housework for various people in the Medford area until marriage. She helped Wally with the farm work until they sold the farm & moved to Medford in 1963. She crocheted, knit, embroidered, tied quilts for numerous people in the area & sewed many of her own, and also made rag rugs on a loom in her basement for over 25 years. She always had a large garden and did a lot of canning. She had a love for word search puzzles and playing Scrabble. She was a great cook and her children will always remember her dill pickles, pickled fish, pies & cinnamon rolls. They moved to Colby Retirement Community in 2010. Catherine was a loving mom and we have great memories of her through the years. She will be truly missed by her family.
