EDUCATION: Pleasant Heights elementary school, Town of Medford & was a graduate of Medford High School
MARRIAGE: 1st: to Louie Walker and they were later divorced; 2nd: In July of 1954 at Sparta, WI to Charles “Hummy” Schmidt and he preceded her in death June 28, 2003
PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After her education, she entered the US Army and was a veteran of WW II serving as an Army nurse. She played semi-pro softball in Panama for a period of time after her military service. She then returned to Medford and worked as a surgery supervisor nurse for Memorial Health Center for 55 years until retirement in 1972. She also was active in the family business “Schmidt The Clothes Man.” In retirement, she did volunteer work for Memorial Health Center. She moved to Eau Claire in 2002 and was the original owner of Trinity Equestrian Center where she remained active with the operation for many years until ill health. She enjoyed making artificial floral arrangements for donation, curling, golfing, an avid G.B. Packer fan & fundraising.

SURVIVING CHILDREN: Sons – Daniel (Bette) Schmidt of Medford, Dave (Cherryl) Walker of Athens, IL & Tim Walker of Springfield, IL; Daughters – Cathy (Joe) Klick of Albert Lea, MN, Jan Behm & Toni (Bill) Mattson both of Eau Claire
CHILDREN DECEASED: Granddaughter – Alexi Rae Mattson in 1985; Grandson – Sean Michael Klick in 1986
