Clifford W. Zenner, 92, of Medford, passed away on December
17, 2018 at Aspirus Hospital in Medford.
Clifford was born on May 12, 1926 to William and Kunda
(Koestner) Zenner in the Township of Hammel. He graduated Medford High School in 1944. He married Elaine
Gebert on September 27, 1947 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonville;
she preceded him in death on April 14, 2015.
After high school Clifford worked on the family farm until
1983. After farming he worked at J. Bauer Trucking and the U.S. Forestry
Department for a period of time until retiring in 2006.
Clifford was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the
Knights of Columbus. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time in the woods,
cutting firewood, and listening to Molly B.
Clifford is survived by his children, Sandy (Gordon) Bach
and Kurt (Lori) Zenner, both of Medford, Mary Mertes of Kaukauna, and Lee
(Joyce) Zenner of Hastings, MN., eight grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other
family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Clifford is preceded in
death by his brother, Clayton, sister, Alvina and her husband Walter, and a
son-in-law Dave Mertes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on
Friday, December 21, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with Father Phil Juza
officiating. Burial will take place a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery in
Little Black. Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at
Hemer Funeral Home, Medford chapel, from 4:00 PM until the time of a Catholic
Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue at Holy Rosary Catholic
Church on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at
11:00 AM.
