Milvern was born February 14, 1928 to Walter and Rosella
(Kohl) Dohm. He is a 1946 Graduate of Westboro High School. He married Bonnie Grittner on September 11, 1948, she survives.
He is further survived by his daughter Kathleen (Michael)
Hinkens of Micigamme, MI, Granddaughters RaeAnne and Heidi Hinkens, Brother
Darrel Dohm of Ohio, Brothers and Sister in law: Michael (Norma) Grittner of Oconomowoc,
Jacinta Myrna Grittner of Rockford, IL, Joe (Carol) Grittner of Westboro, and
many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, and 2 brothers:
Verlyn and Duaine.
Following high school Milvern attended tech school in
Springfield, MO. He then went on to serve in the Marine Corps for two years, in
which he worked in Supply in the Marine 2nd Division. Following the
Marines, he and Kathleen moved Hammond, Indiana where he worked for, and then
became owner of Lynch Office Equipment. After over 40 years, they moved back to
Westboro and retired. In his retirement he enjoyed Golfing, birdwatching,
woodworking and riding his four-wheeler.
He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic
Church, St. Josephs Catholic Church in Dyer, IN, and the Dyer Lions Club.
A private funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual
Help. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Westboro.
Memorial donations in honor of Milvern can be given to his
family for designation at a later date.
