Many will remember Josh for being a loving father. The best
day of his life is when he was blessed with his son, David. David and Josh could
often be found at their favorite fishing hole, camping, or participating in the
Ice Drags. Josh enjoyed sharing his favorite activities with David and was a
great outdoors-man. Over the past few years, Josh and David were blessed with
Maggie and Collin, who they shared their many adventures with as a family.
Josh not only loved an adventure, but loved many people in
his life. He was a caring father, son, brother, cousin and friend to many. Josh
was someone they could depend on to lend a helping hand or a caring ear. He
loved to hear or tell a great story. His laughter, quick wit, and funny “tell
how it is” personality will be missed by so many.
After graduation he worked side by side with his dad and
brother, Shane at his dad’s business, Al’s Auto Dock. Josh was an extremely
skilled, hardworking Auto Technician and loved a challenge in his daily work.
As he grew up, Josh had many men that influenced his life with a love of cars.
His father Al, his stepfather Mark, and his Grandpas, Bill and Jerry. Those
that knew Josh, knew well his love of “burning rubber” in his Mustang.
Survivors include his son, David McNamar, his love of his
life, Maggie Martelli and her son Collin of Medford, mother, Diane Hansen and
stepfather Mark Hansen of Merrill, father Allen McNamar and stepmother Ann
McNamar of Medford, brother, Shane (Liz Herschell) McNamar of Medford; siblings,
Eric (Jessica) Hansen of Sobieski, Heather (Nicholas) Phelps of Merrill, Brent
(Lisa) Ziehlke of Stetsonville, and Tara (Phil) Peterson of Menasha;
grandparents, William and Carol (Teeters) Voda of Rib Lake and Jerry McNamar of
Medford; aunts and uncles, Lori (Chicken Olson) Voda of Stetsonville, Robert
(Renee) McNamar of Tomahawk, Barbara (McNamar) Denzine and significant other
John of Fon du Lac , and Dale McNamar of Medford; cousins, Travis Warner,
Nathaniel Gustafson, Derek Denzine, Dustin Denzine, and Travis McNamar.
Josh was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sharon
McNamar.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date and will
be announced on Josh’s Facebook page.
Memorials may be sent to the family for a fund for David.
