CHARLES "CHARLIE" L. CATRON

Charles “Charlie” L. Catron, 62, of Medford, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at his residence, surrounded by his family, under the care of Hope Hospice.

Charlie was born to John Sr. and Mary Ann (Moore) Catron on April 17, 1957 in St. Joseph, MO. He married Pamela Ashlock on August 31, 1984 in St. Joseph; she survives. He owned his own truck for several years before moving to Medford in 1992. In Medford he drove truck for Tombstone until 2013. He then drove for Prochnow until 2016.

In his spare time he enjoyed tinkering with cars, riding motorcycle, traveling, he especially enjoyed his time in Hawaii. He also enjoyed watching movies, playing pool in league, 9 ball, bowling, barbequing, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Charlie is survived by his children, Camie (Chris) Lutz of Platte City, MO, Wesley Catron of Medford, and Matthew (Thida) Catron of Huntersville, NC; grandchildren, Summer and Sage Lutz of Platte City, MO and Emma Catron of Medford; siblings, John Jr. (Virginia) Catron of St. Joseph, MO and Debra (Chuck) Jeffers of Martell, NE; sister-in-law, Dena Catron of Geneva, NE; father-in-law Frank Howard Jr. of St. Joseph, MO; longtime friends, Dennis and Kathy Ashworth and Rita and Tadd Sandstrom, all of St. Joseph, MO and Perry and Gloria Emmerich of Medford; brothers-in-law, Clifford (Joanne) Ashlock of Somis, CA and Frank (Clarissa) Howard, III of St. Joseph, MO. Charlie is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wilbur Catron, brother in infancy James Catron, and mother-in-law Arneta Ashlock-Howard.

A memorial service for Charlie will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Charlie’s name may be made to the family for use in cancer research and treatment.
