Jay was born on March 13, 1954 to Glen and Idella (Metz) Borman in Medford. He attended Medford Area Schools. He worked on the family farm, Black River Industries for several years, and County Market.
Jay enjoyed fishing and watching TV, especially the Brewers. He was great at Monopoly and enjoyed playing board games and cards. He also had numerous hobbies to pass the time.
Jay is survived by his sister, Lisa (Patrick) Porten of Goodrich; nephews, Sam, Ben, Sean, Ian, and Colin Porten; nieces, Chelsea (Brandon) Simon and Ashley Borman. Jay is further survived by other family and friends.
Jay is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lee and Allen Borman; nephews, Albin and Arin Borman.
A memorial service for Jay will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 28, 2020 at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Goodrich, with Pastor Kenneth Bittorf officiating. Burial will follow at St. Andrews Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will take place at St. Andrews Church on Friday, August 28, 2020 from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Jay’s name may be given to either Black River Industries or St. Andrews Lutheran Church.
