Jerry L. Larson, 70, Medford, a former Townships of Holway and Little Black resident, died on Tuesday, December 22 at Aspirus Care and Rehab, Medford where he had resided for the past 3 years.
There will be a private family only service held in the future with Pastor Amy Heinz officiating. Burial will be at Our Saviours Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Holway with nephews serving as pallbearers.
Jerry was born on October 24, 1950 at Medford, the son of Alvin “Tony” and Angeline (Smith) Larson. He attended Holway elementary schools and was a 1969 graduate of Medford High School.
After his education, he worked at Post Mfg. in Owen, Weather Shield Mfg. and Hurd Millwork in Medford. He retired from Opportunity Development Center in Marshfield. He enjoyed shooting pool, attending Milwaukee Brewers baseball games and visiting with friends. Jerry was a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church, Town of Holway.
He is survived by his siblings, Karen Larson of Medford, Sharon (Jim) Cicha of Glen Flora, Duane (Debra) Larson of Medford, Janet (James) Sova of Medford and Lester (Tammy) Larson of Eau Claire; brother-in-law, James Bach of Dorchester, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sandra Bach.
The family requests any memorial contributions be given to
the family for a future designation.
