PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: Marge worked as a waitress for a number of years at Red and Roses Restaurant in Medford. She also worked as a cook for Mary and Peter’s Chinese Restaurant in Medford for a number of years, which then became the Gas Lite, which then in turn became the Lamp Lighter. Marge then worked as a cook for Miracle Mile Diner until her retirement. In her retirement, she worked at the Medford Sanitary Landfill for a period of time. She was an avid reader, enjoyed embroidery, working on puzzles and cross word puzzles, playing cards and playing dominoes

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: Harley served in the U.S. Army from 1944-1946, while being stationed in the Pacific. After their marriage, they moved to Milwaukee where he worked at Nash Automotive in production for a period of time. They then purchased a dairy farm in Redville and during this time he also worked at Post Manufacturing in Owen. In 1962, they then purchased a dairy farm in Lublin. During this time, Harley and Iris owned and operated a gas station in Perkinstown for a number of years. He also worked at Presto in Eau Claire until his retirement.  After retirement, he worked with his brother-in-law, Glen Ogle for OK Tower Service. Harley enjoyed Hunting, fishing and tinkering around.

In 1996 Rose moved to Medford. Enjoyed baking, crafts, quilting, flower gardening, trips with the ladies aid, and fishing. Rose enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. They were often treated to molasses cookies and kuchen.

Charmagne A. “Sherry” Tice

Charmagne A. “Sherry” Tice (Nee Lang) of Jackson passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on March 9, 2013 at the age of 75.  Sherry was born on January 14, 1938 in Medford Wisconsin the daughter of the late Walter and Ada (Nee Nelson) Lang.  Sherry was a graduate of Medford High School and Taylor County Teachers College.  She taught all eight grades at a rural one room school near Medford.  Sherry was united in marriage to David Tice on September 19, 1959 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Medford.  After marriage, she accompanied her husband as he completed a 22 year Navy Career, Living in Tennessee, Newfoundland (Canada), Maryland and Florida. Sherry was an active Navy wife, confidently enduring the separations that come with military service while raising three young daughters.  Following David's retirement, the family moved to Cedarburg where she was employed as a Pharmacy Clerk at Snyder Drug Store for nearly 20 years.  She was an active member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church, serving as secretary of the Ladies Aid and attending the Wednesday AM Bible Study group.  Sherry enjoyed crafts, gardening, needlework, spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with her husband.

Sherry is survived by her husband David; Children: Catherine Skelton, Joanna Stepanski and Julie (Dave) Zietlow; grandchildren: Caroline and Rebecca Skelton; Patrick and Madelynn Stepanski; Amelia and David Zietlow.

Tommy enjoyed participating in the Bowling and Track and Field in the Special Olympics. He also enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles and being outdoors.

MARRIAGE: August 13, 1949 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville to Agnes “Aggie” Cypher and she survives

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: Served in US Army Signal Corps. from 1944 to 1946 in Vienna, Austria. After the service, he worked at Hurd Millwork in Medford for 26 years. Then he managed Peoples Choice Credit Union for a number of years until retirement in 1991. He enjoyed fishing & wood working.

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: Prior to her marriage, she worked in Milwaukee & Chicago. After their marriage, they owned and operated Herb’s Taxi Service in Medford for over 40 years. She also tended bar and waitressed at area supper clubs for about 15 years. She enjoyed her grandchildren, watching sporting events and Sunday drives.
