Shirle Rose Rothamer, 80, of Medford, town of Little Black resident died Friday, July 21, 2017 at Hospice House in Wausau, Wisconsin surrounded by all six of her children and other loving family members.

Their children surprised them with a 25th anniversary celebration at the VFW in Medford in 1980, and a 50th anniversary celebration in 2005 at Molitor’s Steak House where they arrived “in style” in a limo and were greeted by family and friends.  In June, 2017 Shirle celebrated her 80th birthday with a small gathering at the family farm.
Shirle and Gene enjoyed traveling with their kids. Their vacation travels included:  Washington DC, South Dakota, Canada, Colorado, and Florida (Disney World).
After nearly 60 years together, Shirle lost her loving husband on September 18, 2015. She was a devoted wife and mother, whose dedication to her family was her greatest purpose in life. She will forever be missed and treasured dearly.
