PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: Larry served 4 years in the U.S. Navy during the end of the Korean War. In 1961 he moved to Medford where he was employed by Medford Area Schools as a teacher, counselor and school psychologist, retiring in 1989. His faith and family were of utmost importance in his life. He enjoyed people and he epitomized the phrase “he never knew a stranger”. His favorite pastimes were fishing and golfing.

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: In his youth, he used to box at the Golden Gloves Armory in Marshfield. In 1945 he won the Golden Gloves title. After his education he played semi-pro football for the Wausau Muskies football team from 1948-49. He entered the US Air Force and served from 1950-1954. He also played football for the Air Force team. After the military, he drove truck for Curtis Candy Co. in Medford for a period of time. For 30 years, he drove truck for Neuendorf Transport in Medford until retirement. In retirement he did painting & roofing work throughout the Medford area. In 2003 he was inducted in the Medford High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He enjoyed hunting, traveling, every sport, especially football, basketball, hockey and boxing.
