PLACE, DATE & TIME OF DEATH: 3:37 PM Thursday, June 20 at Care Partners Assisted Living, Medford where he had resided for the past 2 years most recently under the care of Hope Hospice

TIME & PLACE OF SERVICES: 11:00 AM Monday, June 24 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford where there will also be military rites performed by the Medford & Stetsonville military honors teams

OFFICIATING: Father Gerard Willger & Deacon Joe Stefancin

INTERMENT: Interment of his cremated remains will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Medford

VISITATION: 4 to 7 PM Sunday, June 23 at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford where there will be a 7:00 PM Catholic prayer service held that evening; also from 9 AM until 10:30 AM on Monday, June 24

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: April 20, 1922 at the Town of Deer Creek

EDUCATION: Spruce grove elementary school, Town of Deer Creek

MARRIAGE: 1st: May 28, 1946 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville to Margaret “Margie” Rhyner and they were later divorced; Special friend & roommate for 20 years was Doll Habermeyer until she preceded him in death; 2nd : Jan. 25, 1997 at Rib Lake to Helen Dums and she preceded him in death Oct. 26, 2004

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: US Army veteran of WW II having served in North Africa & Italy. After the service, he worked at Hurd Millwork in Medford. He co-owned & operated the Westboro Locker in Westboro from 1946 to 1964. Then he moved to the Wisconsin Dells and worked at Badger Ordinance in Baraboo for 5 years. Moved to Wausau where he worked at Kolby & Kolby Millwork until his retirement at age 65 and moved to Stetsonville. He moved to Care Partners Assisted Living in November of 2011. He enjoyed quilting, crocheting, traveling and playing cards. .

SURVIVING CHILDREN: Richard (Darlene) Cypher of Baraboo, Raymond (Patricia) Cypher of Dorchester, Jerry Cypher of Pennsylvania, Karen Pocock of Rib Lake; Step-Sons: Bernard (Lavonne) Dums of Medford, Warren (Patti) Dums of Kewaskum, Marvin Dums of Rockford, IL, Thomas (Connie) Dums of Rib Lake, Francis (Lori) Dums of Westboro, Andrew (Karen) Dums of Rib Lake, Peter (Barb) Dums of Wausau, Jeffrey (friend Lori) Dums of Medford; Step-Daughters: Cecelia (Doug) Holmberg of Wausau, Barbara (Rex) Ruesch of Westboro, Susan (Roger Schimada) Gabrys of Little Canada, MN
