PLACE, DATE & TIME OF DEATH: 9:45 AM Sunday, August 30 at Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home, Phillips where he had resided for the past 4 months

TIME & PLACE OF SERVICES: Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 5 at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford where there also be military rites by the Medford Area Military Honors Team

OFFICIATING: Rev. David Elleman

INTERMENT: Interment of his cremated remains will take place at Hannibal Cemetery, Township of Cleveland, Taylor Co.

VISITATION: Hemer Funeral Home, Medford from 9 AM until the time of services at 11 AM on Saturday, September 5

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: January 3, 1925 at Hannibal, WI

EDUCATION: Hannibal Grade school & was a graduate and class salutatorian of Hannibal High School

MARRIAGE: May 20, 1944 at Medford to Gertrude Bernice Dunkel and she survives

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After his education, he entered the US Army and was a veteran of WW II having served from 1944 to 1947. After the military, he worked for Kelvinator in Kenosha for a period of time. Moved to Perkinstown and farmed in the Town of Grover, drove school bus & served as treasurer for the Township of Grover for a period of time. In 1966 they moved to the Town of Browning and farmed there until 1978. Moved to City of Medford and worked at Weathershield Mfg. until retirement in 1990. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, crossword puzzles and mechanical work.
