PLACE, DATE & TIME OF DEATH: 9:00 PM Monday, March 28 at Cedar Lane Apts., Medford where he had resided for the past 2 weeks, most recently under the care of Hope Hospice

TIME & PLACE OF SERVICES: Per his request, there will be no services held.

INTERMENT: Cremainal inurnment will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Medford at a later date

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: January 18, 1942 in Medford, WI

EDUCATION: Jim attended Holy Rosary Catholic School and was a 1960 graduate of Medford High School & attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

MARRIAGE: Never married

PRINCIPLE EVENTS IN LIFE: After High school, Jim joined the U.S. Navy and served for 4 years before moving to Milwaukee and attending the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He then worked at Square-D in Milwaukee for 6years. Jim returned to Medford for a short period of time before re-enlisting in the U.S. Navy having served 23 years total upon his retirement. During his active duty, his primary specialties included serving as a submarine repairman and electronics technician. After his retirement from the military he returned to Medford. Jim loved to fish and enjoyed his daily routine in Medford.

SURVIVING BROTHERS/SISTERS: William “Bill” (Judy) Gelhaus of Arizona, Dorothy (Alan) Rhyner of Prentice, Paul (Mary Sonaglia) Gelhaus of Cable, WI, and Jean Gelhaus of Ladysmith

Jim is further survived by many Nieces and Nephews
