DANIEL P. NUERNBERGER




Daniel P. Nuernberger, 31, of Medford, passed away Tuesday April 4, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Palliative Care Unit.


Daniel was born June 6, 1985 in Marshfield to Paul and Linda (Dailey) Nuernberger.

He is survived by his Parents: Paul and Linda Nuernberger of Medford, Siblings: Jason and (Kimberlee) Nuernberger, Heather (Jeremy) Albers, and Elizabeth (Dan) Lavin, all of Medford, Grandmother June Walls of Medford, Nieces and Nephews: Kyle & Kasee (Brandon Mallo) Nicks, Cayden Nuernberger, Justin Nuernberger, Kala & Talan Albers, Morgan & Jordan Lavin, Great Nephew Grayson Mallo, Sponsors: Nancy Wycliffe, Sandy & Dave Maurer, and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

He is preceded in death by his Grandparents: Robert Dailey, Elmer & Goldie Nuernberger, Brother Eric Nuernberger, Aunts and Uncles: Kathy Meyers, Jan Dailey, Ellyn Paul, David Nuernberger and Marge Metz.

Daniel was a 2006 graduate of Medford Area Senior High. He worked with Black River Industries, Day Services. He enjoyed all things outdoors, especially birdwatching, watching wildlife, and going to parks and zoos. He loved to watch gameshows especially The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune.

He was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, and was active in Sunday School.

Daniel loved his family, and enjoyed spending time with them.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday April 8, 2017 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stetsonville. Pastor Richard Russow will officiate. Burial of cremated remains will follow at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held at church Saturday morning from 9 AM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to Daniel’s family, for designation at a later date.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of St. Rita’s Home in Mosinee, and to the Doctors and Nurses and St. Joseph’s Hospital, Palliative Care Unit for the excellent care and compassion shown for Daniel.
