EUGENE J. GLENZER

Eugene J. Glenzer, 84, Town of Greenwood, passed away at his residence on December 27, 2017.

He was born on October 5, 1933 to the late Albert and Theresa (Lindner) Glenzer. He married Jeanne Scheller on October 1, 1955 at St. John the Baptist Church in Rib Lake. Eugene attended Green Grove Grade School for grades 1 through 8. He then attended Rib Lake High School where he graduated in 1953.
Eugene worked for Taylor County Highway Department for one year before working for Harvey Company for 16 years (1954-1970). He was employed for Foremost Foods from 1970 to 1976 then started working for Weather Shield from 1976 to 1986. He then worked for SNE Enterprises from 1986 until his retirement in 1999. He also worked on his dairy farm from 1957 to 1982.
In his free time he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, camping, snowmobiling, playing cards, gardening, cooking maple syrup, making fire wood, watching his beloved Packers and Brewers and especially spending time with his family.
Eugene was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, mixed couples and men’s bowling leagues and was founder and president of Interwald Wanderers snowmobile club.
Eugene is survived by his wife Jeanne P. Glenzer of Greenwood; Sons: Dean (Janet) Glenzer of Tomahawk, Gary (Gayle) Glenzer of Rib Lake; Daughters: Wendy (Dan) Sackmann of Rib Lake, Debra (Chuck) Parks of Merrill; 15 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren and 3 on the way; Sister: Marcella Lord of Marshfield and many other family and friends.
In addition to his parents Eugene is preceded in death by Brothers: Alfred and Charlie Glenzer; Sisters: Elnora Erdman, Caroline Steen and Delores Eggert.
Funeral Services will be on December 30, 2017 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be on December 30, 2017 at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eugene’s Grandsons: Damian, Nathan, Chris, Drew, Kyle, Austin, Deano and Briar.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made out in Eugene’s family to be designated at a later date.

PRINCIPLE EVENTS IN LIFE: After their marriage, they farmed in the Chili area from 1957-1969 when they moved to the Town of Hammel. They owned and operated the Highview Inn from 1969-1985. She then cooked at Florena’s, the Miracle Mile Diner and the Medford High School for periods of time. Then she owned & operated the Rose Garden in Dorchester until her retirement in 1996. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, reading, crocheting, cooking, fishing, spending time with her grandchildren and family.

LEONARD F. MILLER

 Leonard F. Miller, 73, of Dorchester passed away on December 24, 2017 at Marshfield Medical Center. He was born on April 23, 1944 to Joseph and Lucille (Bartnik) Miller in Owen. He married Lucille “Lue” Pfaff on July 27, 1968, she survives. He owned and operated the family dairy farm from 1966 until 1994. He then went on to work as a custodian for the Colby School District until his retirement. In his retirement he plowed snow for the town of Holton.


In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and his Siberian Husky Yukatu, hunting, fishing, being outdoors, woodworking, playing dominoes, birdwatching, spending time by Lake Superior and his cabin in the woods and traveling the neighboring states.  He also provided the farm as a retreat for his many nieces and nephews.
Leonard was a member of the Board of Directors at the Dorchester Co-op. He was also involved with the UW – Extension Small Farm Program, where he hosted famers from abroad.

In addition to his wife Leonard is survived by his children, Jayne (Kevin) Paul of Stetsonville, Debra Miller of Medford, and Bryan (Xiomara) Miller of Brookfield; grandchildren, Taylor (Shannon) Miller, Garrett Paul, and Ava Miller; great-grandchildren, Caden, Keegan, Kayliannah; brother James (Pat) Miller; sisters Jean (Duane) Korb, Grace Gutenberger, Dorothy (Ed) Broeske, Mary Ann (Larry) Paul, Elaine (Jim) Heibl, and Loretta (Jerry) Fialkowski. Leonard is further survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Leonard is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Louis and Joseph Miller, and nephew Randy Miller
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Milan at 11:00 AM, with Father George Nelson Graham officiating. Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Milan from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.

VERA C. PAULIN


Vera Corene Paulin, 96, of Medford, passed away Saturday December 23, 2017 at Aspirus Care and Rehab, Medford, under the care of Hope Hospice and Palliative Care.
Vera was born May 20, 1921 in Dows, Iowa to John and Alta (Root) LaRue. She completed the 8th Grade in Plain View, WI. She married Edward C. Paulin, Sr., on July 2, 1941 in Pine City, MN. Edward preceded her in death on July 2, 1989.
Vera is survived by her Children: Charles “Chuck” (Karen) Paulin of Eau Claire, Linda (Joe) Karpinski of Freemont, MI, and Deborah Paulin of Spencer, 7 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild.
She is further preceded in death by her Parents, Son Ronald Paulin, and 8 brothers and sisters.
After Vera and Edward's marriage they resided in Shell Lake and Waukesha for periods of time. They moved to Medford in 1958 where they owned and operated the Ideal CafĂ© and Big Dad’s Pad Arcade for 20 years until their retirement in 1979.
She enjoyed painting, sewing, crafts, gardening, playing bingo and fishing. She was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Medford.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday December 29, 2017, at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford Chapel. Rev. Brian Mundt will officiate. Burial will be held at Shell Lake Cemetery in Shell Lake, WI. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at 2:00 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Vera can be given to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care.

JOANNE M. BACH

Joanne M. Bach, 83, Medford, passed away on Sunday December 17, 2017 at her residence under the care of Hope Hospice & Palliative Care in Medford.

She was born on November 24, 1934 in Colby, WI to the late Frank and Erna (Wuest) Seidel. She attended St. Louis Catholic School and Dorchester High School where she graduated in 1952.
On July 24, 1957 she married Jerome Bach in Dorchester before moving to Medford. Jerome passed away on July 2, 2015.  

Joanne worked in Minneapolis, MN for Gamble Skogmo and Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance in Milwaukee, WI. She then moved to Medford to work for Sears Catalog as a Merchant for 26 years.
During her free time she enjoyed doing puzzles, watching the Packer games and other sporting events and spending time with her family.    
Joanne is survived by her Brother: Donald Seidel of Dorchester; Sister: Marlene (Bob) Cypher of Menomonee Falls and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Joanne is preceded in death by her Brothers: Gordon and Nyle Seidel.
Cremation Rites have been accorded and there will be no services.

GERALDEEN (GERRY) A. RODDA

Geraldeen (Gerry) A. Rodda, 77, Medford, passed away on Saturday December 16, 2017 at The House of Dove under the care of Ministry HomeCare Hospice in Marshfield.

She was born on October 24, 1940 in Medford, WI to the late Victor and Melda (Kimble) Schupp. She attended Medford High School and graduated in 1958.
On September 10, 1960 she married the love of her life Robert Rodda at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. They cherished all 57 years of marriage together.
Geraldeen was a Homemaker her whole life and also worked for 15 years with her husband for Dirtfighters at various places in Medford. She also worked other jobs during the summer and around Christmas time.
During her free time she enjoyed gardening, reading, mowing the grass with her riding lawn mower, fishing, sitting outside drinking a glass of wine listening to the Brewers, her two dogs (Buck and Billy) and spending time with her family, especially her Grandson Sam.   
Geraldeen is survived by her husband Robert Rodda of Medford; 4 Daughters: Gina (Alan) Brandt of Medford, Julie (Troy) David of Pittsville, Roberta (Shane) Arrowood of Weston, Cathy (Geoff) Brown of Eugene, OR; Grandson: Sam Arrowood of Weston; Sisters: Garnet (John) Jakel of Medford, Nadene Hoffart of Grand Forks, ND, Judy (Ron) Wegerer of Medford; Brothers: Victor (Bonnie) Schupp of Sheboygan, Joe (Kathy) Schupp of Medford and many other family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Geraldeen is preceded in death by an infant Brother: Jerome Schupp; Brother-In-Law: Richard Hoffart; Niece: Theresa Hoffart

PAULINE ANN NOZISKA

Pauline Ann Noziska, 85, Medford, passed away Friday, December 15 at Care Partners under the care of Hope Hospice & Palliative Care in Medford surrounded by her family.

Pauline was born on August 2, 1932 in Milwaukee, WI to the late John and Anna (Slimak) Ochodnicky.
On August 12, 1952 in Stillwater, MN she united in marriage with Richard (Dick) Noziska. She owned and operated several bars in the Northern part of Taylor County for 40 plus years. She also worked at the nursing home in Rib Lake for 5 years. In her free time she enjoyed working outside in her garden, helping her children with various activities, playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, socializing with everyone, dancing and the occasional beverage.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Medford.  
Pauline is survived by 4 children: Debbie (Jim) Cee of Medford, Randy Noziska of Washington, Mary Ann (Dale) Pieper of Medford, Richard (Wadad) Noziska of Marshfield; Grandchildren: Jamie, Jessie, Christopher, Ryan, Richard Allen, Alex, Isabella, Ashley, Anna Marie; Great Grandchildren: Jeffery, Ben, Carolynn, Amelia, Gavin, Tyler, Emma, Trevor John; Sister: Vicki (Larry) Andreae of Marshfield and many other relatives and friends.    
In addition to her husband Richard and parents, she was preceded in death by Brothers: John Ochodnicky, Paul (Helen) Ochodnicky, Joe (Dorthy) Ochodnicky, Chuck (Mary Ann) Ochodnicky; Sister: Nicky (Don) Everson; Grandson: Justin Noziska.
A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, December 18 at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford with Pastor Randal Jeppesen officiating. Visitation will be held at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford on Monday, December 18 from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 7:00 PM. Burial will be private for the family at a later date.
