INTERMENT: Cremainal Inurnment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Rib Lake with graveside military rites performed by the Rib Lake American Legion Post #274

VISITATION: 10:00 A.M. until time of services at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Rib Lake

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: April 17, 1936 in Rib Lake

EDUCATION: Bill attended Rib Lake Area Elementary Schools and was a 1953 graduate of Rib Lake High School. In 1955 he attained his Teacher’s Certificate from Taylor County Normal School in Medford

MARRIAGE: 1st Marriage was in 1960 and later divorced. 2nd Marriage was on Feb 22, 1971 in Marquette, MI to Bernadette F. Kane

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After receiving his teaching degree, Bill taught as an elementary teacher for 1 year at Woodville Rural School. In 1956, He became part of the U.S. Air force where he attained the rank of Master Sergeant and worked as a Weather Forecaster for 22 years until his retirement in 1978. Bill was stationed in Nevada, Tennessee, England, Germany, Taiwan, and lastly, at the K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base in Marquette, MI. After his retirement from the Air Force, he owned the Village Wash Laundromat in Rib Lake for 6 years. He then worked for the ASCS Office as a farm land surveyor for a period of time. Bill then worked for Tombstone Pizza in Medford as an Environmental Control Supervisor until his retirement in 1991. He enjoyed fishing, picking berries, making firewood, being outdoors, gardening, playing cards and he was an avid Packer, Brewer and Dodgers fan. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

MEMBER OF: St. John’s Lutheran Church in Rib Lake and Rib Lake American Legion Post # 274. Bill served on the Rib Lake Village Board, St. John’s Church Council and the Spirit Lake Improvement Association

SURVIVING SPOUSE: Bernadette F. Marschke of Rib Lake

SURVIVING CHILDREN: Robert Marschke of Rapid City, SD, Penny (Mike) Oswood of Oregon House, CA, Sean Marschke of Rapid City, SD, Bill (Edie) Sunderlin of North Fond Du Lac, Candy (Kane) (Husband: Mark) Rinehart of Medford and Karen (Kane) (Husband: Fritz) Balz of Athens
