TIME & PLACE OF SERVICE: 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 7 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Whittlesey where full military honors will be performed by the Colby Area Military Honors Team.

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: September 8, 1932 in Colby

EDUCATION: Graduate of Colby High School

MARRIAGE: November 12, 1955 at St. John’s Church in Cudahy to Carol M. Hayes

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: Dale served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1953 in the 187th Rakasan Airborne where his rank was Sergeant. He saw active duty in Korea. Dale also served in the Air Force Reserves at the General Mitchell Field in Milwaukee. He was a loadmaster on C-119 Cargo Planes. He started at Ladish Corporation in Cudahy working in the inventory control department. Dale then transferred to Houston where he was a purchasing agent. In 1972, they moved to the Medford area where he worked at Weathershield Mfg. as the Purchasing Director until his retirement in 1995. Dale was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and bowler. He had 2 Holes In One on the third hole at the Merrill Golf Club. Dale was an avid Winchester Rifle Historian and at one time amassed an extensive Winchester collection.

MEMBER OF: Trinity Lutheran Church, Whittlesey, VFW in Colby and NRA. He also served on the Medford City Planning Commission Board.

SURVIVING SPOUSE: Carol M. Steinke of Medford

SURVIVING CHILDREN: 4 Sons: Steven (Debra) Of Medford, Darrell (Connie) of North Fond du Lac, John of Eagle River and David (Peggy) Steinke of Rothschild

6 LIVING GRANDCHILDREN: Jared, Rebecca, Megan, Mitchell, Michael and Angela Steinke
