MARRIAGE INFORMATION: November 6, 1948 in Dubuque, Iowa to Merle E. Thompson and she survives
PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: Les worked at various jobs until October 1940 when he inducted into Federal Service with the Army National Guard 32nd Division. He trained Camp Livingston, LA. Attended Military School in Edgewood Arsenal Maryland and Fort Sill, OK. Went overseas in 1944 to the European Theater where he served under General G. Patton’s third Army. He was awarded 3 Battle Stars, Battle of the Bulge, Rhineland and Central Europe. He returned to the States in 1945 and was Honorably Discharged on October 26, 1945. Les then worked at the former Harvey Company until 1966 and then moved to Belvidere, IL. And worked at the Chrysler Corporation until his retirement in 1984. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

5 Grandchildren: Randal Brosious, Frances Lairson and Lester Dake, Susan and Lori Thompson
